A walking frame, manual wheelchairs and an electric buggy are available for visitor’s use. These are provided free of charge from the Gallery Reception. Bookings are advisable to ensure availability. Bookings 08 9492 6600. Accessible toilets are located in the main Gallery building (on the ground floor adjacent to the Gallery Shop) and there is also lift access to upper floors.

The grand heritage building, the heavily secured vault and the original melting house provide the cues for many extraordinary stories about Western Australia's golden history and the Mint's prolific output of priceless gold bars and coins. The Perth Mint provides wheelchair access and toilet facilities for visitors with disabilities.

The Shipwreck Galleries are recognised as the foremost maritime archaeology museum in the southern hemisphere.
The displays in the restored convict-built Commissariat building feature early exploration and shipwrecks along the treacherous coastline as early as the 17th Century, including original timbers from the Dutch VOC ship the Batavia, wrecked in 1629.
