PHILIP ISLAND  Churchill Island Heritage Farm,  Phillip Island

Churchill Island sits just of the Phillip Island coast and is accessed by an all vehicle bridge. It is significant to Victoria's history in that it was the site of the first European agricultural activity. The island has been farmed since the 1850's. It is open to the public as an historic working farm. The restored farmhouse, cottages and outbuildings gives a glimpse into the lives of the early Australian settlers. For an old settlement the farm it is remarkably accessible with well graded paths allowing wheelchair access to all but one of the historic buildings.  The visitors centre has  accessible toilet facilities and a licensed cafe with views over Western Port Bay.

The Visitor’s centre has five designated parking areas for tourists with disabilities.    There is an accessible toilet within the centre.  There  are two wide  accessible boardwalks just a short walk from the Visitors centre, which allow tourists with mobility aids to easily view the Koalas in their trees.    The entry into the  interpretive centre is  via a 1:14 ramp.  Inside it is fully wheelchair accessible.  All displays in the interpretive centre are at wheelchair height.

PHILIP ISLAND
The Nobbies Observation Deck and Boardwalk

From this magnificent headland, the views stretch forever.  This area offers spectacular coastal viewing from the boardwalks and lookout points set amongst natural sea bird gardens.  One and a half kilometres offshore from The Nobbies are Seal Rocks, home to Australia's largest Australian Fur Seal colony.  There are three designated car parks  near the observation area and outdoor picnic tables.  Inside the centre there is a gift shop, cafe, accessible toilets and an interactive interpretative centre . The three levels of the building are all accessed via ramps.  The observation deck and boardwalk are both accessible to tourists with mobility aids.

The Frankston Arts Centre is one of the largest metropolitan and regional arts venues in Australia.  This world class theatre seats up to 800. The  dress circle which seats 278  has stair access only. The front and rear stalls both have an operating hearing loop. Some performances are captioned or Auslan signed.  There are accessible toilets within the theatre. There are two permanent spaces in the theatre for patrons using a wheelchair.
