Close to the sea, in Port Adelaide’s CBD, is the South Australian Maritime Museum. The Museum opened in 1986  and is arguably one of the finest maritime museums in the world.   The Museum's main gallery is the 1850s Bond Store which houses three floors of interactive exhibitions bringing to life the maritime history of South Australia.                                                                              Opening hours: 10am. to 5pm. daily (closed Christmas day).
