Military Museum - Valikonagi Caddesi Nisantasi, Istanbul

This is one of the leading museums of its kind in the world. The exhibits are accessible for independent wheelchair users.  There is an accessible toilet within the building and designated parking for people with disabilities. The exhibit, housed in the academy where Atatürk received his education. There are exhibits starting from the Ottoman. The exhibit  showcases chain mail, bronze armour, leather and metalwork costumes, hand-sewn leather and arrow bags, swords engraved with fruit and flower motifs or Islamic inscriptions, and a petroleum-driven rifle. Not to be missed is the hall of tents, a display of  elaborately embroidered and silk encampment tents used on war expeditions

The Spice Bazaar (The Egyptian Bazaar) Eminonu Meydani.

The Spice Bazaar is the second largest covered bazaar in Istanbul.  It has four gates three of which are suitable for wheelchair access.  The shops in the bazaar sell spices, traditional appetizers and souvenirs.  In the Byzantine period, the site of the Spice Bazaar was the centre of corn trade.  The Spice Bazaar was designed by the chief court architect Koca Kasım Ağa, but completed by architect Mustafa in 1660.

Grand Bazaar (Kapali Çarsi), 22 Kalpakcilar Cad.

This is the oldest and largest covered bazaar in the world.  It resembles a giant labyrinth with approximately 60 lanes and more than 3,000 shops.   It is considered suitable wheelchair users who are accompanied to assist on the slightly uphill location.  Entrances and almost every part of the Grand Bazarr are located on ground level. There are 3 accessible toilets available within the Bazaar.
